Based on Equip for Equality there have been at least five more deaths at Alden Village North. These five deaths are because of negligent nursing care. Equip for Equality actually spent multiple weeks at the facility going over documents and medical records. We have a great blog on our website discussing Alden Village North in more detail. Here is a clip from our blog, but make sure to read the entire article. Once you do, let us know your thoughts!
“Equip for Equality says that about 20 Alden residents have died since 2008. That was the year that Floyd Schlossberg, who is the current nursing home operator, took over. The watchdog group said that they found 15 cases that they considered “troublesome.” Among those cases were five deaths that were “particularly egregious.””
As veteran Illinois personal injury lawyers who've seen it all since we opened our doors in 1994, we at Steven J. Malman & Associates find nursing home abuse and neglect cases to be some of the most outrageous matters we handle. Nursing homes are supposed to be safe havens, places where seniors who lack facilities for self-care go for treatment and compassion. Call us today to discuss your case!
